Thanks for the info. I thought there was a module or flasher behind where the noise is. But I will take apart to see.

Sounds like you have a loose connection problem. to check it involves removing the dash board to get to the connections. i dont think theres a major issue here just a loose connection.

2004 Pontiac Grand Am SE dash back lights quit working I installed an aftermarket radio. Wiring OK no blown fuses.Every thing else works fine plugged factory radio back in lights still did not work.

check that dimmer is turned up ---and check connections around where radio work was done for damaged disconnected line connector also check dash fuses not just fuses from radio --or your radio may not be compatible to your dimmer circuit -most oem radios display are Incorporated with dash functions and after market ones are not

I need to know how to replace the electronic flasher for my turn signals on my 2001 grand am se. My turn signals only work a quarterof the time.

are you sure you don`t have a bulb filament that is making and breaking contact causing the flasher to intermittently work.assuming you mean they either stop flashing or flash faster than normal.when the flashers are working look under the dash and find the flasher unit with it operating.all you have to do is pull the flasher out of its location and install in reverse.i say check with the signals working because the hazard flasher looks the same but is a different unit.

Clicking in dash sounds like turn signal relay. We think it may be hazard switch malfunction anyone know ?

we have an 03 grand am and took to mechanic. he replaced relay behind dash in center area behind radio. it still made clicking noise and he said it needed a new 250.00 plus turnsignal switch. went to junkyard and got one for 14.00. but it didnt help

we disconnected battery ( hoping that would eliminate chance of air bag going off) took out turn signal switch. placed switch on bench and took it apart with a T-10 torx bit. and cleaned TURN signal contact points with cloth. regreased a little with some of the grease that was in there. (not sure what kind of grease it is) Put back together and it seemed to eliminate clicking noise.

2000 Grand Am SE Headlights and Tailights Stay On

Start by setting your auto headlight switch to off if this solves it replace your headlight switch If your car is equipped with daytime running lights there could be a short bridging them with your auto head lights look for broken or frayed wires do this also if you have installed or had someone install an aftermarket stereo or speakers/sub woofer, amplifier. Good Luck with this

Head lights will not turn on, fuel guage missing, radio turns off

This is an old post so I don;t even know if you still have the car, but here is what I know.

1) Your radio issue is probably a relay. It is a relay bank located above your glove box. The entire glove box assembly will have to come out. This relay is a little different in appearnace thatn the others as it is skinnier and taller. It is called the Brand Name speakers/radio relay.

2) Your dash readouts are due to a burned out bulb. These are not LED. They are regular 124 bulbs. They've burned out. Banging on the dash probably allowed the filament of in the bulb to touch and temporarily worked.

3) I have a similar problem with the headlights. My headlights turn on manually, but they don't turn on like they are supposed to via automatic photo sensor. When turned on manually, the doors open and the headlights are on. When I manually turn off the headlights, the doors don't close. I've checked everything and I was told it may have something to do with the Body Control Module. I am not completely sure as this research is ongoing.
