Question about 2002 Honda CR-V

1 Answer

This just happened to me yesterday.

My shield accutually fell off. Does this need to be replaced? Who can replace this? Do I have to go to the dealer to have this replaced? How long can I go without having it replaced?? Any information that anyone has will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The heatshield was located in the front of the undercarriage between the front wheels.

The shield will cost you around $100 for a new one or you can go to a junk yard and find a much cheaper one for your car.

If you still have the old one, you can just drill a few holes into the frame and screw the shield back on.

It's highly recommended to have the heat shield as that really does disperse the heat and keep it away from the underside of the car and especially away from the gas tank....

The push button switch for 99 honda accord ex map light broke and fell out. Is the a common problem?

Not common but it happens try getting a replacement unit from a salvage yard. Dealer will be expensive and the cars are around due to accidents and that piece never gets damaged in an accident. Hope this helps or reply with more questions about removal and replacing. Good luck

A case or shield fell of from the center of the car's underside. What is it and do I need to replace it?

You have lost the cover which stops oil leaks dropping on the road and in some cases road dirt getting to the underside of the engine

If you are not bothered about oil marks where you park your car it does not really matter if there is one on or not .

If the old one is damaged it is cheaper to get one from a wreckers yard than pay for one from the dealer

Front ball joint and drive axle fell out on 2000 acura TL

Call a dealer and give them the vin #, they may or may not tell you if there is a recall for that. If the car was bought at a used car lot,and if there is some kind of warrenty on it, Go back and tell them what happened. Depending on what a repair shop charges an hour, about 2 to $300.00.

My car was not properly jacked up and fell. Was making noise mechanic thought it was the rotor and replace it. still makes grinding noise. What could be causing to still be making noise

the dust shield behind rotor could be touching wheel or rotor, safly jack up vehice take tire off of suspected side, inspect dust shield carefully if bent . id shouldnt take much to straighten out.
