Question about 2003 Chevrolet Impala

1 Answer

My ac would come on if I hit a bump in the road, then it would cut off if i hit a bump in the road again. Sometimes it will just come come on when I am driving. Now it willnot come on at all. When i lift the hood of the car up ---the pipe is ice cold like it had kicked on then it cools down.

You would have a loose or broken wire in your AC wire harness. It could be anywhere from the dash to the compressor. Check all your electrical connectors to make sure they are secure on their plugs. When you do this give a slight tug on each wire and plug end to make sure they are properly fastened together. The chances are pretty good that you will find a plug in that has no wire attached to it if it doesn't come on at all. Hope this helps.

Intermittent Cruise Control Issue - cuts out when small bump in road is hit and may or may not re-engage after that.

Check the wire connector that plugs into the cruise control under the hood. Sounds like a loose connection. Remove the and reinsert the wire connector several times to make a better connection. Stepping on the brake pedal disengages the cruise control by a switch on the brake pedal, not the computer.

I hit a small bump. My car cut off and would not start back. It will turn over but will not crank.

hi its probably the fuel cut off switch. in an impact an enerchia switch will cut off the fuel pump. your local dealer will tell you where its fitted and its just a push of the switch and away it will go.
