Correct code P0504?

What Colorado do you have ? 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive ? Sport ,sport LS 3.5L , Z71, Z71 LS. etc. what size engine ? an does it have electronic throttle control ? I have factory service info an it is not showing that code .
DTC P0506

Circuit Description

The throttle actuator control (TAC) motor is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM). The DC motor located in the throttle body drives the throttle plate. In order to decrease idle speed, the PCM commands the throttle closed reducing air flow into the engine and the idle speed decreases. In order to increase idle speed, the PCM commands the throttle plate open allowing more air to pass the throttle plate. If the actual idle RPM does not match the desired idle RPM within a calibrated time, this DTC sets.

DTC Descriptor

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P0506 Idle Speed Low
DTC P0507

2003 Mazda6, after the engine has warmed up, when I'm in gear and at an idle it will periodically drop between 25-50rpms and then return to its normal idle. Why?

Engines rarely idle at the same rpm all the time. Its normal for changes to occur, especially small ones. Too many variables that can effect such a small change to list. Its no an issue to worry about.

Just had my ac compressor change on my 94 eagle talon dl 1.8 and when I got home I notice my engine idles at 1500, what is wrong?

When the AC compressor is engaged it should automatically idle up the engine to compensate for the heavier load. As long as it doesn't overheat, it could be how it will be, with the different AC compressor.

Thank you for help my kia sephia 1995 problem is that the engine speed decrease when start the AC knowing that the engine idle speed is 850 rpm.

Hi, Check the a/c diaphragm idle up! Must be the vacuum line is disconnected or there is a leak in the hose, and the diaphragm itself is not working anymore! Maybe needs adjustment!
hope that helps u out!

Engine speed decrease when stert the AC

IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE IDLE SPEED TOO LOW. IDLE SPEED SHOULD BE 750 - 850 RPM. IDLE SPEED NEED TO BE CORRECT OR IT WILL CAUSE ENGINE RUN ROUGH OR STALL OUT.AC COMPRESSOR WILL TAKE SOME POWER FROM ENGINE WHEN AC IS OPERATING.

I have 2006 scion xb and when driving the rpm stays around3500-4000 when running 65 mph can it be modified to run lower rpm

3500 is about normal for an xb at 65 mph. My previous ride was a pickup and rolled at about 2000-2500 on the highway. But the XB's engine is way more "tightly wound". Your rpm gage should run at about half of of your speed...ie: 70 mph will be about 35 (3500) rpm, 80 mph will be about 40 (4000) rpm. Freaked me out when I first got the thing, but after researching it Ive found out that with a stock engine it actually runs more efficient at the higher RPM's. The 06 boxes won't redline until 6000 rpm, so unless you are driving 120 on a frequent basis you're good. You can probably have it modified to run lower, but you will lose the awesome gas mileage and overall it is not going to improve the way it runs, and would have no benefit............
