Question about Mercedes-Benz ML320
Have 55reg ssangyong rexton, been told that whirring noise is due to front diff. not practical to repair, car mileage 45k, told could last till 95k.
recently get loud clunking noise if added weight in car or uphill acceleration. waiting to get garage to look into it but happening more frequently even without added weight and on flat road.
can any help or had same problem, bought the car from new.
Go to an empty parking lot
turn the wheel all the way to the right and drive in circle slowly
listen for a ticking noise or similar.
repeat in the left direction.
if you hear a ticking or clicking noise you likely have a bad CV joint. not a horridly expensive repair tho a necessary one
one other thing that will cause it is if the rubber boot surrounding the CV
joint is torn.
pleae take a moment to rate this solution.
