Question about 1989 Dodge Omni
Hey there i bought and omni for 450 dollars and alls good on the exterior but my car chooses not to start sometimes! but the odd time the car will start after you alow the car to flash a code! i dont know what this is doing but its seems to work 50 50 its weird! can someone please help me ! thanks
It's common for the map sensor on the car to go bad and will cause the problem that your describing. Locate the MAP sensor and disconnect it and see if it starts, if it starts. Then replace the MAP sensor and most of the time it's going to be along the fire wall on your dodge. If there is an Auto Zone in your area, they can do a part locate for your car and show you where it is so you can check for any damaged vacuum tubes to the MAP sensor from the intake manifold, and at worst you may have to replace it and Auto Zone may have the parts on the shelf or they can order it in if it's bad. Auto Zone can also read the code you have to address the issues you car has. Good luck and hope this helps.
