Question about 1994 GMC Jimmy
While driving at highway speed it will sometimes try to engage into 4high or at least thats what it sounds like it sounds like gears trying to engage if i let off on the gas and engage the 4high and drive in 4high for a minute and then disengage its fine for at least a week before it does it again.
Replace the speed sensor in the transmission this issue has caused rear differential damage on vehicles I have heard of, also check the under neath electrical connections that go to the transfer case to ensure no damage to the wiring harness or electrical plugs has occured
