Question about 2005 Dodge Stratus

Noise from rear of 2005 Dodge Stratus

When the car is parked and the engine turned off, the car is making a noise from the rear. It sounds like a motor running. It is starting to do this more and more frequently. I can't find any reason in the owners manual and no one else seems to have a clue.

Only thing back there is the fuel pump. maybe a sticking relay or a short get it checked to be safe, it may save you money to resolve now instead of when a 1000 dollar pump burns up. good luck

I have a 2005 dodge stratus that when i turn off the key there is a sound of a fan or motor running. The sound is coming from the top of the engine, its not the electric radiator fan

if you have a certain model of stratus there is a fan under the intake on the 2.4 engine. this fan blows air into the exhaust for emissions purposes. the circuit on these fans have a problem with not shutting off. i believe the dodge dealer installs a resister in this circuit to make it shut off. it can make your battery go dead if it dosnt shut off

Bad axle

A bad axle will make a continuous clicking or clunking sound when making a sharp turn (left or right), but if they are really worn out it would not have to be a sharp turn for them to make that noise.

Engine and front end vibrates on right turns on 2003 stratus

that is likely one of the constant velocity joints or the rubber boot on it. quick test is to turn slowly to the right in an empty parking lot and listen for a clicking sound. repeat in a slow left hand turn.
