thank you for taking the time to reply---fuel pumps not humming at all

    -----i have spark ,

----- fuel pump relay has been replaced with a new one-old one was tested and was good anyway.

--- no fuel at all on fuel rail when i press center pin ,completeley dry,

---- the check engine light comes on only with all the other lights when you turn the key but does not stay on.

--- i currently have the computer out----i get 12 volts at the eec power relay- then a wire(same wire) goes to the computer and the inertia switch(fuel shut off),when i turn the key on , the voltage
at the relay drops down to about 5 volts.with the computer unplugged it stays at 12volts. possible that the computer is bad???

i will be putting the computer back in for a quick check to see if i have injector pulse before i replace it.

------am i on the right track or totally lost? and again thank for your help

Make sure it is getting gas; check the fuel filter and fuel pump and any fuel pump relays. If it is fuel injected make sure your getting current to the injectors and check the relay. You might also want to check the starter solenoid and your ignition wires, distributor, distributor cap, rotor, etc... You don't say if this problem occurred suddenly or if it's been an ongoing.

Is the inertia switch between the parking brake and the brake pedal on the firewall? Have you re-set it? If the problem lies in the computer than I would check the electrical connectors at the ecm/eec; are they clean? No corrosion?

P.S. I am not certain but you might have a fuel injector re-set also....I'm not sure if you do or not but it may be something to check on. Good luck.

IF it wont start with ether, the issue is timing. It could be the crank sensor is bad.

1990 Ford f250 brake lights and turn signals won't work - checked all fuses, flasher and bulbs and all are good, what could problem be??

Well the brake light and turn signal circuits are on two different fuses, but they both go thru the turn signal switch.
So I would start by checking for power in and out of the turn signal switch for each circuit.

I have a 1990 ford f250 7.3 motor its hard to start no matter cold or hot most of the time it starts right off but dies instantly then i have to crank it like several times to get it to start.when it...

This issue had nothing to do with the glow plugs nor the batteries. This is most likely an issue with the fuel system. I would have to start with the fuel filter and see if that may not be plugged up.

Hard starting, turns over fine it just cranks alot before it fires up.

Does it hard start when warm or only when cold? could very possibly be a fuel pressure problem, like fuel pressure regulator. Also could be cold start injector.
Thanks,
Lee

1999 Ford F250 won't start

probably the starter relay. Use a test light or meter and have some try to crank it over while testing the post of the relay which goes to the starter. If it doesn't light up or show voltage, then do the same thing with the terminal that comes from the key/switch. If it doesn't show voltage coming in from the key, then it isn't your relay, if it shows voltage coming in, but not going to the starter when the key is turned, then it is the relay.
