Under the intake manifold(rear of the engine). To access, the manifold must be removed. You may also see it from under the vehicle, at the rear of the engine, above the exhaust. It may be possible to access with slim arms, I personally could not. Hopefully this helpd

Knock sensor is located very close to oil filter, in fact, to make it easier to reach, oil filter may need to be removed. Held in by one 10mm bolt.

Have you checked your "knock sensor" or cam sensor? It tracks cam and or crank movement for timing.

Knock Sensor (Nissan Altima 2000 GXE picture of where it is located.


it is very simple. if you lay down underneath the car and look up at the oil filter it is just above the oil filter. you should be able to get it out with a 12mm wrench.

Where is the location of knock sensor?


The knock sensor is located on the back side of the engine(side closest to firewall)below the intake manifold bolted to the block.Looking from the bottom its above the oil filter.

How to replace knock sensor in 1995 nissan altima


remove the intake manifold ,remove radiator ,remove radiator intake and outake housing, remove fan ,remove all belts: power steering, alternator and if you have a/c, remove harmonic balancer ,remove timing belt covers, remove timing belt remove intake housinng once you have remove all the above, your freaken engine will look naked, you can see the location of the knock sensor is locate in the engine valley

Nissan altima 2000 2.4l p135 and p325 come up ,


I would start with the o2 sensor first if its not working right it will set off the knock sensor but beware of vaccum leaks sounds like your running lean

Nissan Altima, horrible sound due to ABS; brakes are still good


Yes you can bypass it by removing the plugs from the abs pump.But you will have the abs light flashing.Just remove the bulb and you should be fine.
