sounds like theft system set off... if your key has a little black chip on it.. that is the security chip....the contacts break inside the lock tumbler assy,,, causing it not to be able to read the resistor chip.... so computer thinks someone is trying to steel car ,,,it then will dissable fuel injectors.....two other common problems are the ignition control module goes bad under the coil packs...or bad crank sensor....if bad crank sensor you will have a code in computer saying such...if you rented scanner i would ask for another that one would not the theft or security light on steady with the key in the run position or does it flash...gather all that info write baqck for further

The 95 lesabre was a split year it had obdII connector but read on obdI system. Have your ignition control module tested.

I replaced the fuel filter but my car will crank and idle for a few minutes then die, can you please help me figure out what is causing it? Coukd it be the fuel pump?

You need to have the fuel pressure checked to see if it is good or not, this will tell you if the fuel pump needs replacing.A code reader will help also to read the codes in the computer,If it can drive, auto zone can do this for you for free, the codes only, not the fuel pressure test.

2001 cavalier died while driving, now it wont start

Could be failed fuel pump. Disconnect fuel line at engine and turn over a couple times having something to catch gas in. If electric pump don't turn over engine, just turn key to run position for a few seconds. Maybe clogged fuel filter or faulty pump if no gas shows. Change fuel filter and try again. If none, change pump.

2000 buick lesabre stall after starting or after running for 30 minutes

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!
