Question about 1995 Subaru Legacy
Its mid summer so temp isn`t the problem It cranks for the longest time and slowly, like an old `70s car will finally catch hold and start. Now even that won`t work C ould it be the ignitor or the iginition module
There isn't a cap and rotor on that car. It has a waste spark ignition with the coil pack on the top of the motor. It sounds to me like you have low compression in one of the heads (blown head gasket).

Could be as simple as a new rotor and distributer cap. As the rotor and contacts inside the cap wear, it will take more and more revolutions to get it to catch.
