Question about 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche

My avalanche z71 has a problem with the 4wd it changes by its self to 4wd so I cant get it back to normal 2wd because i have to turn it off and wait a while so it will change back to normal someone used a computer on it to check it and 67a479 code was givin

It is most likely your transfer case.if it is your front axle that is having problems .take it in to be checked

Is bank 1 on the o2 sensors the 1 located on the drivers side? Vehicle is a 98' GMC Safari 2wd.


You have it right Avalanche.
Bank 1 is normally the one with the #1 cylinder side.
So Bank 1 sensor 1 is the first one downstream, bank 1 sensor 2 is the one after the catalytic converter.

Your system is computer and hold the a/c switch and the switch to the left at the same time and it will recalibrate it self and the doors will work right, Hope this helps you

Avalanche 2006 driver seat heater tur on by it self


It is seem funny how i solved the problem,i figure out the cause of the problem because the city i lived in has hi hemuduty and beside the sea(solty weather
)so the heat connection connected by it self.
To solve the problem hit the connection area (swich )by your hand afew times and turn the switch off and on afew times then the problomes had been solved

You need to have it scanned. It sounds like a bad speed sensor in the transfercase.

On a 2003 Avalanche with push button 4wd,


we had same problem,it was caused by shifting trans selector to quick after startup,not waiting for electronics to cycle on initial startup.

2004 Sport Trac stuck 4x4 low


Start the vehicle put the 4x4 switch to the position the light on the dash states it is in. then put it in nuetral, hold your foot on the brake switch the 4x4 switch back to 2wd wait a few seconds and the light on the dash should switch back to 2wd. and you should be back in 2wd
