I just went out to turn on my car and this no air was blowing. The car had be off for about 2 hours. Is it possible that there is another problem. If the problem is what you first stated, is that an expensive job. Is it something I can do.

I was driving yesterday with my AC on. My car panel displayed that temperature was a 67 degrees. I had the setting for air to blow out of the top vents. All of the sudden the fan stop blowing and the display went blank. I could not get them to come back. The car set up overnight. The next morning everything was back to normal. Then in about 15 minutes into driving the fan shut down and panel would not display status. The car has been off for over 3 hours. However, the fan will not start again, however the instrument panel is dispaing various settings. Please advise.

It is quite possible, that you have a temperature control in your car. If you have it set for 78°, once the inside temperature reaches that point, the fan will stop blowing, until the temperature goes up again.

This is a bad connection that opens the circuit when it gets hot, shutting the motor off. Then when the connection cools back off, it will work again until it heats back up.
It could very well be the fan speed switch and should be changed.

AC blows cold air, fans stop blowing

I think you have a "variable speed resistor" problem, it's overheating. It's an electronic device usually located near or attached to the AC motor blower that controls the fan speed. This is a common problem with aging AC blowers with electronic controls.

During a three hour drive back home, our AC stopped blowing cold air. If you stick your hand in front of the vent, you can feel cold air, but it doesn't blow. If you turn the fan up all the way, you can...

Have your a/c pressure tested, the clicking could be the a/c compr coming on and off due to low freon, it will do that so it don't damage your compr when there is none or low freon.

A/C blows hot air intermittently

this is clear that your aux fan cooling your condensor is not working ,your a/c system is overheating and with speed you are forcing air through your condensor doing the job of the fan.

1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette. After driving more than 50 miles the a/c stops blowing. When it does work it is cold

The system may need to be recharged, All A/C system will have small leaks though the seals and when you lose enough R134 the system will stop blowing cold air. I am guessing that it stop working now as to that there is no cold air but the blower fan is still working right?? Or do you mean that there is cold air and then it stops making cold air after 50 miles but will work again after a few hours of the can not running. If that's the case, the A/C relay may be bad and when it heats up the relay fails and needs to be replaced. Good luck and keep me posted.

Sounds to me like you are low on freon/R22. Get that recharged and that will probably solve your problem.

Engine overheats when heater pipes connected

I think you could be right about there being air trapped in the system.
Or the heater core(radiator) is plugged.
Either way you need a pressurized radiator coolant pump to put the coolant in without air being trapped.
Although,i have seen it done by jacking the vehicle up high enough that the radiator was now higher than the heater core level, and then the coolant was put in.
But this is dangerous to try.

A/c blows cold parked then blows hot after a few miles

engine fan not kicking in at right interval to bring air in so its pulling in hot air threw ducts
or you have a disconnected duct blowing all air out not to right place

guages could be faulty or bad a/c relay
