Have the fuel pressure check valve tested, if the pressure bleeds down due to a defective check valve in the pump then you get the symptom u are discribing.

I have a 1995 chrysler cirrus when im at the light the car starts jerking and sometime it shuts off.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU TOLD US THE ENGINE SIZE;STRAIGHT OR AUTO TRANS,AC ETC.
The 3.9 LT V6 engines back then had bad lower distributor/camshaft bushing. IF your car missfires-is hard to start-or tries to run backwards upon shutdown it may be this.
Engine will have to be put on analyzer(to show vaariable timing caused by bushing)=easy to Dx and may be covered by warranty .

2 ideas , your battery and your starter is of concern, because you stared it and was able to drive it home leaves me to know that the alternator does charge, starter clicks, sounds like battery going out ,have the battery replaced and by the way make sure a clean battery connection are nice and clean

My 2000 Chrysler Cirrus wont start.Turns over.

Some of the basics to check.
Listen to hear if your fuel pump turns on.
Test fuel pressure. There is a valve on the fuel rail that looks like a tire valve. Put a rag over it and push the valve in. Did fuel spray out?
Do you have spark? Remove one spark plug from the engine. Connect the wire to it normally as it would be connected in the engine. Lay the plug on a bare-metal surface of the engine. Try to make sure the threads touch metal. Stand back a step, and do not touch the engine during this test. Have someone turn the key and crank the engine over a few times. Do you see any spark jump the gap? You may need darkness to do this test. No spark on any plug means the coil pack is dead.
Get some starting fluid and give a little squirt in all the cylinders. Remove the plugs one by one, and squirt it in, reinstalling the plugs as you go. Turn the engine over again and see if it fires. If you get it to fire like this, you have a fuel problem. This could be anything from a bad pump, to a broken computer that isn't telling the injectors to open.

Hope that helps.

Tried to start my 1997 Chrysler Cirrus but it won't turn over. Added oil, added coolant thinking it may be due to low fluids and still won't turn over. Keeps cranking and starts to turn over but then...

I'm guessing this is a 2.5 v6. Most common problem is a bad distributor, (loss of spark) Make sure as these are fairly pricey. Fuel pumps also go bad but not as common

Check engine light

Code 12.................Problem with the battery connection. Direct battery input to PCM disconnected within the last 50 ignition key-on cycles.

either a loose connection or the battery dead or removed within 50 last times you turned on the car, check battery terminals for corrosion or loose connector, and check the earth wire for corrosion, the code will dissapear by itself if the power is not removed again
