If you disconnect your immobilzer your car will not start at all. good chance one or more of your door latches have failed these will not let you arm or disarm your car with the remote. good way to check is get in the car and lock it do not put the key in the ignition open one door at a time if your dome light does not turn on then that will be the first place to start it is a step by step process to trace down the issue. sorry no one quick fix.

How do i find the engine size for a 98 volvo s70

Depending on if you have a high pressure Turbo or not. The engine in my S70 T5 is a high pressure turbo 2.3 litre. Look on your driver side fender(under the hood) for the VIN Tag and it will tell you what engine is in your car.

Volvo s70 t5 key stuck inignition, how can i get it out?

Try tapping forward on the shifter while it is in park. If this works, spray some lubricant into the shifter release button on the front of the shifter. If not, you may have a problem with the ignition lock, and it will have to be replaced.

Inside driver's door release catch will not open door. have to wind down window & use outside handle to open. Any thoughts please. Volvo S70 T5 is car.

The little rod from the inside release catch to the door lock has been broken/come loose.

Take out the door panel and see what is the problem. Then either fix it or let someone to fix it.

Wont start

Hi
Had a similar problem with my x type 2.5 petrol, only had the car 1 day went to start it nothing happend all the lights came up on the dash but the engine wouldn't start and the immobiliser light stayed on. Spoke to Jaguar they had no idea and I couldn't get it to them. After disconnecting the battery trying to reset the immobiliser phoned and auto locksmith they came out and discovered the end of the key with the blade had lost it's coding and the immobiliser was not disarming, they reprogrammed the key and the car started no problem. As far as i know there is no way past the immobiliser. Hope this helps.
