I APPRECIATE THE IDEA BUT CHECKED THAT SWITCH AND IT IS SET, I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT. HOPEFULLY THERE IS ANOTHER POSSIBILITY.

The it was designed is that 1- Fuel pump is not on if there is no signal from Crank shaft sensor. 2- The spark is not produced if there is no signal to turn on primary coil. Primary coil is control by ignition module. And the ignition module need the signal from crankshaft sensor before it can active on off pulse for primary coil. Let's check the crank shaft sensor if it is working.

There is a gravity switch that trips during accidents (deceleration) and shuts off the fuel pump and the spark ignition to prevent fires. For some reason yours has tripped. The one in my Taurus Wagon is inside a compartment in the rear wheel well. Yours will be in the trunk. Check your owner's manual or call the dealer to ask the exact location. The fix is as easy as pushing the button back in.

Engine flooding

Check the fuel pressure. The pressure regulator may have gone bad and is delivering too much pressure to the fuel rail, thereby flooding the engine.

Have a 94 Dodge. Ram 250 van with no spark replaced plugs wires distributer cap and button also fuel pump still nothing.

Why would you replace the fuel pump because your engine has no spark??? - Just asking....diagnosis by parts replacement is the EXPENSIVE way to do it.

Anyway, have you checked for ignition voltage at the coil? Did you check to see if there was spark at the coil?

92 Lincoln Towncar - running fine down interstate - just died. Not overheated. Fluid levels all good. Let set for about 15 minutes. Started right up. Drove about 5 miles, died again. Dont know where to...

There are some possibilities which you will have to check in this case:--
1) First of all check the power and voltage to the battery. With meter it will show exact 12 volt if the battery is charged. If the voltage is less get the battery charged at local auto repair shop. If the battery is internally drained and not getting charged then its time to replace the battery.
2) When you crank the car do you see spark coming at the spark plug? If no then its time to check the spark plugs and coil pack. If the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time to check coil pack. The spark plug gets power to spark from coil pack.
3) The other thing to check in this case is the starter solenoid of the car. If the battery is charged and you start the car then it gives power to the starter to start the car. But if starter is faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.
4) The other thing to check in this case is fuel in the car. If there is fuel in the car then check the blockages in the fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the fuel pump.
5) If all the above possibilities mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then it’s a electrical issue and the wiring's in the car needs to be checked. The car gets power from the battery to get started. so the wires from battery needs to be checked one by one.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Where is my fuel pump located on 94 Lincoln towncar

The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank on a 94 TOWN CAR. On the side of the tank facing the front of the car, up high on the tank there is a round plate with fuel lines and an electrical connection. The pump is attached to this plate.

No power getting to the fuel pump

You probably have faulty wiring - this is a long slow check job with a multimeter - checking each connection etc.
Whilst you're checking things though, you could get your diagnostics read in case it's holding a code that might suggest a particular problem (like the fuel pump relay or similar)
Hope this helps, Sherwin

Lincoln Towncar 1999 turns over great. Has a new

check the spark plugs to see if they are getting any spark-pull one of the plugs, reconnect the wire, and hold near something metal on the car while someone turns the engine over-if no spark-it's electrical-maybe just the plugs-maybe something more serious

94 Grand Am looses power and abuses fuel. What is

Your fuel filter is probably on the fuel pump or on the fire wall of your engine - Mostly likely off of your fire wall. If it is loosing power have your catalytic convertor checked. Change your fuel pump, this could be your problem. All of these you can change yourself. I don't believe that a '94 Grand AM has an access panel to the fuel pump so you will have to drop the tank - Just make sure that it is below a 1/2 tank before dropping it. Buy a Chilton and it will give you step by step direction. Good luck!

1999 lincoln fuel pump

My fuel pump on my 1998 Lincoln Continental has no power. I checked the fuse it is good. I checked the fuel shutoff switch it was fine. I have traced the wire from the fuel shutoff switch to the fuel module driver in the trunk. The wire has power. I have also traced the positve wire from the fuel pump to the fuel driver on a different terminal, this wire has no power from the pump. I also changed the fuel driver, the low fuel pressure switch, the alternator, and battery.does anyone have any suggestion's?
