Battery went dead, so I replaced it. now the anti theft system wont let it start

You need to manually reset the anti-theft system. I don't know what kind of car you have but most anti-theft systems are located just underneath the dash behind the steering wheel. It will probably be a little black box, maybe with a red light, but there should be a button on it that you need to press and hold for about 5 seconds then try to start the car again. Some of them you need to have the ignition on when you do the reset.

Why would my 01 honda turn over but wont start

if your car has anti-theft on it when the battery went dead it signalled the computer that someone was trying to steal the car. you will have to reset the anti-theft system to start your car. if you don`t then recheck what you did changing the battery make sure all the wires are connected properly.

No power in any systems - anti theft?? How do you reset?

no power usually suggest battery fuse or wiring. anti theft keeps the car from starting but may have also killed the battery. check the battery

Anti-theft system seems to have been activated?

Some months ago I began starting the engine of my 2001 Chrysler 300M but turned it of before it really started "was sloppy with the key". The anti-theft system went on for some unknown reason. I disarmed it by disconnecting one of the battery connections under the hood with a wrench. I connected it again, the anti-theft system was off but the battery was dead. Battery was OK after recharging, I have had no trouble since then.
