Don't know the situation or how much exhaust you smell, has it been tested for any significant leakage in the pipe's? some exhaust smell is normal due to aerodynamics's of car, this is very true on SUV's. keep an eye on it and if you think it is excessive then ask for the dealer to have a factory service rep come out and ride with u, you must ask for this, they will not volunteer the extra service.

It will normally get worse and can develope into other problems such as fuel mileage and backfiring and exhaust pressure etc I would have it fixed if at all possible it shouldnt be too hard of a fix if it is just a loose connection or a hole in a pipe , you can also get carbon monoxide poisoning from exhaust and pass out while driving

Why does coolant leak in vehicle cabin?

the cabin heater unit is inside the car just behind the dashboard. It is an extension of the car cooling system using the hot water that normally cools the engine to heat the cabin. However it is just like the radiator at the front of your car and can develop leaks, and therefore the coolant runs into the cabin

Range Rover l322 My front air supension is iactice/inflates then deflates whilst the back remains stable

They have problems with the air bag shocks leaking. The shocks typically have a large bladder bulit into them that will over time develop leaks causing the problem you describe. could be a damaged line to the shock but most often the shock. Start the car and run until it inflates. Stop the vehicle somewhere quiet then put your head by the top of the wheel that deflates. Listen and you should head an air leak. It usually requires replacement of the shock to fix.

Leaking power steering fluid 1997 dodge dakota

Is this a gear box (used on 4X4's) or a rack and pinion? In any event the shaft seals do develop leaks, the best thing to do is just install a rebuilt unit, install a good quality rebuilt steering unit either from the dealer or from a company called A1Cardone. Trying to rebuilt the old one will likely only fix the problem short term and requires special tools.
Could you please rate my help for Fixya, it is all I ask for my time and effort. Thanks

Transmission is leaking from my 2008 ford escape. The VIN number does show that it was manufactured in Kansas, but because i am in Canada the recall did not include canadian owners.

What do you need? I would cantact Ford of Canada in back of owner manual with letter, not phone, if issue is the same. TEXT:

In some of the affected vehicles, the transmission fluid cooler may develop a crack in the tube below the right hand (RH) mounting bracket from thermal and vibration fatigue. This may lead to a small transmission fluid leak and possible rough / harsh shifts. Dealers are to inspect the transmission fluid cooler for a grommet and possible fluid leak below the RH mounting bracket. Based on the results of the inspection, dealers will perform one of the following service

actions:

INSPECTION

1. Using a suitable light, look through the radiator grille and inspect the transmission fluid cooler mounting bracket for a grommet behind the mounting bolt. See Figure 1 and Figure 2.

Inspection Result Service Action

Grommet present - No further action required

Grommet not present and transmission fluid cooler not leaking - Install transmission fluid cooler mounting bracket

Grommet not present and transmission fluid cooler leaking - Install new transmission fluid cooler.

Can you run a radiator cleaner on a 1999 ford expedition ?

Personally, I do not recommend ever using a radiator cleaner.

The ads sound great, but on every vehicle I have ever owned that I used one on (Olds, Buick, Ford) I developed leaks not long afterwards.

All my other cars, which I would drain and refill, but never do a flush and clean, never developed any radiator leaks. Most of them saw over 200K miles!

The gas tank on my Dodge Magnum 05 2.7L engine has developed a small leak how do I fix it? If the tank needs to be replaced where can I get the right tank for my car?

you can buy sealer products that act as a welding agent from an auto store or hardware store, although I cannot a guarentee long term fix. a vehicle dismantlers specialising in late model cars should be able to get one for you, or try your local dodge dealer will be able to source one for you without fail as generally the cut off for parts like that is 8-10 years before they stop stocking them at their warehouses
