With my 93 Navajo I have experienced:

  • Dirty connection(s)
  • Starter solenoid
  • Positive cable - hidden corrosion inside cable jacket
  • Negative cable
And always test the battery, even if relatively new.

Wont start, click,click,click

If it's not a low battery, then it could need a new starter,or starter solenoid. Also check the battery cable connections are tight. Tight at the battery and/or at the starter. ( When checking the connections at the starter, disconnect the cables at the battery first, so that you do not short any connections with your wrench. Then reconnect the battery.) HOPE THIS HELPS.

Wont start hot unless jumped, starter clicks

Without trying to sound like a commercial, take it to Sears. They will hook up a tester to your car and tell you what's wrong with it for free. It could be something as simple as corrosion or a bad cable.

Battery will not stay charged.

I would try to read the resistance between the battery cables(plus and minus) with the battery totally disconnected and the key in run position and see if it is <=150 ohms(considered a short).
