Question about 2003 Lincoln LS
Started this morning... Can't find a on-off-auto switch. Seems to be on or off only, but whatever I do, the light stay on even while driving. Matter of time before battery goes dead...
The dome light usually is controlled by the light switch. When you turn the switch all the way to one side it will turn on the light. It is not on the autolamp system.
There is also a manual control on some of the overhead lights for map reading. These are push switches on the sides of the lights or even the clear cover.
One of your doorjam switches is shorted if you can not turn the light off any other way.
Finally, take a heavy rag and use it to remove the bulb from the fixture after you remove the cover. The cover usually squeezes smaller and the tabs will release from the fixture.
