2006 uplander. How do you remove the lower center console box? My wallet got flipped out behind it. It's the console box almost on the floor below the radio and two-cup holder pullout. Thanks

Any one know how to remove the center console in a 06-07 Sonata? I am trying to get to the wiring behind the 12V accessory plug.

If that fuse is okay. try giving the wiper motor a jolt by whacking it end on with a broom handle. Can you hear the wiper motor running? Check the linkages.

pop any trim and remove bolts, remove the seatbelts that r bolted in the center. Unplug ur wiring and lift out.

You don’t need to remove the dash or remove AC refrigerant from 2005 Chevy Uplander. Its a simple job takes about an hour with 10 mm socket and Phillips screwdriver. Core is in the center of dash near the floor. Remove lower panels on center of dash where passanger
Left leg and driver right leg would be. Also the front lower panel where cigarette lighter is. They pop out. Also remove fiber cover from under glove box and driver area. Remove large black plastic member behind where the lower center panels were. Two black screws in front and seveal screws in either side. Pull to rear to slide out. Remove metal bracket on floor with 4-10mm. Remove vent from floor pops out. Look up underneath from area you created under center of dash. Many vertical gold colored screws. Remove first cover panel 4 screws. Remove second panel mores screws. Theres one clear against firewall by driver side also. After this heater core is accessible held in with only one screw by firewall remove it and core drops out easily after wiggle out pipe ends from firewall holes. This is about 20 minutes to this point

Before remove heater core, drain coolant, remove front engine yoke bolts, ratchet strap engine pull forward and block. Pop out windshield wiper link and brake booster vacuum hose so can reach hose connections from engine side. Remove hose clamps and disconnect hoses to core. One hose is 3/4 id and the other is 5/8” that necks out to 3/4” on other end.

The hardest part about the whole job was getting the hoses off then in with these spiring clamps and finding the right replacement hose and connectors. Not the removal of the core which is surprisingly easy.

remove a screw?

1. Block the wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving.
2. Remove the rubber ash tray inserts and rubber mat from the console.
3. Remove the floor shift control knob. Refer to Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement.
4. Remove the center console shift lever bezel, Buick only. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement (Refer To List 1).
5. Remove the console storage compartment. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement.
6. Remove the center console retaining screws.
7. Adjust the parking brake to the full-up, or fully engaged position.
8. Release the 2 forward trim extensions ears attached to the lower instrument panel (I/P), Buick only.
9. Slide the console rearward and raise the rear of the console in order to expose the electrical connectors.
10. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
11. Adjust the parking brake to approximately the halfway position.
12. Remove the center console from the vehicle.
13. If replacing the floor console base, remove the following and retain for transfer:
    
    • 13.1.
      Remove the HVAC control module (if equipped).
    • 13.2.
      Remove the armrest.
    • 13.3.
      Remove the HVAC module and duct assembly.
    • 13.4.
      Remove the cupholder.
    • 13.5.
      Remove the HVAC upper duct.

Removal & Installation

Instrument Panel

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the center console closeout panel by removing the left and right attaching screws, then the left and right panels.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   
   Remove the shift bezel. Remove the transmission range indicator surround bezel. Remove the two screws attaching the front floor console to the lower instrument panel. Open the cup holder and remove the two attaching screws on the bottom of the cup holder. Open the bin and remove the two attaching screws on the bottom of the bin. Remove the front floor console sidewall attaching screws, three per side. Raise the front floor console and disconnect the wiring harness. Remove the front floor console from the vehicle.

4. Remove the floor console base assembly by removing the two screws attaching the L-brackets to the instrument panel.
5. Remove the nuts attaching the floor braces to the instrument panel.

On the right front of the center console, remove the panel directly next to the floor. It is marked with a fuse symbol. It has a velcro pad behind the "O" marking near the front. Just pull on the end with the "O" marking. once the panel is removed, fuses are identified on the back. Power Mirror = 2a fuse in the front upper of the panel.

NO NEED TO REMOVE WHOLE DASHBOARD!!! REMOVE TWO7MM SCREWS FROM THE BOTTOM OF STEERING PANEL & PRY AND REMOVE PANEL.
NEXT REMOVE TWO 7MM SCREWS ON BLACK PLASTIC STRIP THAT YOU SEE AFTER REMOVING STEERING PANEL....PRY THIS STRIP OF PLASTIC OUT JUST A LITTLE AND CUT IN THE MIDDLE .
NEXT REMOVE TWO 7MM SCREWS FROM AROUND TOP OF INSTRUMENT PANEL (BY GAUGES ) PRY PANEL STARTING FROM AROUND VENT ON LEFT BY DRIVERS DOOR ""THIS PANEL WILL STAY IN PLACE LOOSE... NO NEED TO REMOVE!""
NEXT YOU WILL SEE 0NE 7MM SCREW BY GEAR SELECTOR AREA.. BEHIND THE LOOSE PANEL REMOVE THIS SCREW.. ALSO IN SAME AREA BUT LOWER THERE IS ONE 7MM SCREW THAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED THAT HOLDS LOWER DASH PAD ITS FOUND BEHIND LOWER CORNER OF DASH PAD.( LOWER DASH PAD GAS PEDAL AREA )
"DON'T"!!! REMOVE THE FOUR 10MM BOLTS!!!! IN SAME AREA
NEXT REMOVE RADIO /AC CONTROL TRIM WITH THIN SCREW DRIVER OR PANEL TOOL IT HELD IN BY SIX CLIPS...NO NEED TO DISCONNET ANYTHING IT WILL STAY THERE HANGING!!
NEXT REMOVE TWO CENTER CONSOLE LOWER LARGE PLASTIC CLIPS BY FLOOR MATS. NEXT UNDER SQUARE BLACK RUBBER AT CENTER CONSOLE REMOVE ONE SILVER SCREW. MOVE SEATS FOWARD AND REMOVE TWO 8MM SCREWS FROM SIDES OF CENTER CONSOLE FROM BACK SEAT.
PRY CUP PANEL SECTION THAT WAS HELD DOWN BY SILVER SCREW ...PRY UP TOP HALF OF CONSOLE STARTING FROM SECTION WHERE ARMREST DOOR IS.. DISCONNECT LIGHTER PLUG AND REMOVE PANEL .
NOW YOU WILL SEE SIX SCREWS STARTING FROM BELOW RADIO TRIM WORKING BACK TO ARMREST DOOR

you have 2 on is under the hood and one is on the passenger side of the center console Pull the bottom of the front floor console extension to release the lower clips.
• Tilt the extension upward to release the upper clips and hooks.
