How many gear shifts solenoids on a 2005 Chevy Avalanche

The 2005 Chevy Avalanche is available with different transmission and shift options, which can affect the number of transmission shift solenoids present.

However, generally, the 4-speed automatic transmission (4L60E) used in the 2005 Chevy Avalanche typically has a total of 7 transmission shift solenoids. These solenoids are used to control the activation and deactivation of the transmission's clutches and valves, allowing the vehicle to shift gears smoothly and seamlessly.

It's important to note that the number of transmission shift solenoids may vary depending on the year, model, and configuration of the Chevy Avalanche.

My 2002 chevy avalanch wont shift into 3rd or 4rth

1- You have to check the transmission oil level.
(Engine running in the park or neutral. )
2- Retrieve transmission trouble code with a scanner.
3- Depends on what code you have
4- Find out if your problem is electrical or mechanical or hydraulic.
5- It could be the 3-4 solenoid, 3-4 shift valve stuck inside valve body..........and so on.
6- At the cluster display the PRNDL display all lights state = on. If not the PRNDL switch on the side of transmission water intrusion.
I believe you need a good Technician if you don't find it.
There are so many things.

Hope it helps.

2005 Chevy Avalanche - my heater contol turns the fan off when I put it on #5......works fine on 1, 2, 3, and 4, but as soon as I turn it to 5 ....it stops.....

Motor switch has gone out, most likely due to high load on level 5. Replace switch and I suggest lubricating blower motor bearing to help take the strain on the system.

Heater issue, driver side of 2004 Chevy Avalanche

1. Place the ignition switch in the off position.
2. Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for 10 seconds or more. It's in the under hood fuse box. Put the temp in full cold.
3. Install the fuse.
4. Start the engine. DO NOT TOUCH THE HVAC CONTROLS FOR LESS THAN 45 SECONDS.
5. Have any codes cleared with a scan tool.
