look for similar coloured wires possible with the reverse connections that you have . the wires come from the automatic choke or the idle circuit solenoid at the base of the carby. Lay the wires out and look for the harness wires near where they are.

Clean the Carburator completely. If the problem persists, check the timing, timing chain, and distributor coil.

Unsure on wire colours but pretty sure the best place to start is on Brown or Black wires as the are Earth.

Start at the rear and make sure the earth points are good and clean.
