i had a radio install and know the battery want stay charged and one had the same problem and als when you turn the lights on the car cut off ...

- best buy installed a radio pioneer system with cd and know if i turn the lights on the car cuts off and i have to jump it off, but the gauges are allso going crazy in the car like the clock and tempature hand

Make sure that the battery contact surfaces (connections) are clean and secure. Radio should be wired so that it turns off when the key is off (except clock memory circuit) Power must come from a "clean" source, not "tapped" into anything that has a computer or module controller in it.(best source is original power lead for radio, right in harness)

- To avoid accidental shorting while working most shops will disconnect the battery. With any luck, they just forgot to re-tighten one of the terminals.
