Hi I've purchased Zero 4 powered side mirrors for my 1992 525i BMW. The mirrors have 3 wires (green. white and yellow) whereas the BMW has 4 (white, brown, blue and black).
It would appear from the instruction leaflet of the mirrors that the green is a common wire.
Any idea as to how to connect the 3 wires of the mirrors to the 4 of BMW?

Start by getting an "easyout" kit for the screws that held the old one in. You may need a small drill to start the easyout, but that will let you remove the old one cleanly.
You may be able to splice the wires inside the door, or run the wires from the new mirror into the car somewhere. . .
Hi, the door panels need to be removed,there are 3 mounting nuts, and a wiring harness,(if mirrors are power).unhook the wire, take the 3 nuts off, and remove the old mirror.Repeat for the other side,and the mirrors should be functional.Good luck...

the mirror is easy, theres a trim panle on the inside of your car exact oposite the mirror (it's the mirror of were the mirror should be)
remove that and there you go.
To get to the Wireing you need to remove the door trim panle. do you know how to do that ? and do you have auto windows ?
black=neg
black with slim white=door switch
black with wide blue or wide dark green=accesories(switch controlled pos)
black with slim light green=live pos(always connected for map lamps)
If you wire it as such,map lamps would come on both when you open the door and with doors closed when you turn on the switches.
your mirror control switch has 9 wires.,your drivers door mirror has 5 wires color coded .from your mirror control switch to your drivers siide mirror / 0.5 black .0.5 brown. 0.5 brown. 0.5 black. 0.5 black.
