White smoke and foam in the gas tank indicates antifreeze leaking into the engine somewhere. Do you smell antifreeze? You may have an engine seal leaking, most likely head gasket. It may be affecting the various engine sensors.
Chevy doesn't use a fuel pump reset switch, it does have a circuit that turns the fuel pump off if the engine losses oil pressure. Ford does use a reset switch and does have a button you press to reset it.
I've never found an accessable extenal one on our 2004 MPV [crazy, huh?] But we have the official factory technicians service ["workshop"] manual, purchased from Mazda & it lists 2 fuel filters - it shows both are in the gas tank; the low pressure appears to be the simple screen on the pump intake & the high pressure is in the outflow from the pump - apparently connected to, or just under, the "fuel pump unit cover." So the answer is: both the "low pressure" screen & what I would call the "real" high-pressure filter are inside the gas tank.. Hope that helps Cheers, Bk
there's a ball in side the filler neck, if that ball stuck gas will push upward and cause the pressure to shut the pump.
you can remove the filler neck to inspect for the ball stuck in there
there are two valves on top your fuel tank, one is a roll over valve that will close off the fuel if the vehicle rolls over, the other is a vent valve that lets pressure escape while your filling it with gas, this valve is not letting the air that is going in the tank with the fuel vent out ,so it is coming out the only hole it has which is the filler tube.
Did you replace fuel filter...? If the filters all clogged up it wont matter if you changed the fuel pump cause it will burn the new one out also... Plus you use Sunnoco gas dont you??? Let me know about that and tell me if you changed fuel filter if not do that real quick.
