Check the starter. You may have a bad selanode. Or possibly lose wires at battery or even at the starter. Any parts store can bench test the starter foe you
the heat from the overheating expanded your pistons rings when you placed coolent in the stayed that way which is why the jeep is rooling over harder, try turning the motor by hand, you do this with the switch off and use gloves to grab the fan blade it should turn somewhat hard but if this is the issue it will be almost not going to happen. To compare use a friends car with the same overall motor 4/6 v6 v8 what ever motor type you have
When the GMC overheats it goes into limp home mode. This is why the truck was running rough. The computer only allows the engine to run on three cylinders at a time, to allow the vehicle to continue driving without damage to the engine. If the temperature continues to increase then the computer will stop the engine from running at all. One gallon of fluid is plenty to allow the truck to overheat. As far as the battery it sounds like you need to have it charged. Get a load test on the battery and replace it if needed. Dont forget to check the alternator while your at it. A bad charging system could be the cause of a dead battery.
you fitted a flat battery on your car,,,,,thats why it sarted with a jump battery fitted to it,,,,hook up the jump battery again ,,start the car and leave the jump battery hooked up,,,so the car can charge up both batterys,,,till yours has power in it,,,,better still hook up a car battery charget to your car and leavi it on charge for a fuw days,,,
Could be it over heated. It may have engine damage. Some times when this happens you can pull out the spark plugs and one or more could be wet with radiator coolant.Usually this means the cylinder head and gasket needs replaced. Find a good honest mechanic to do any work.
It sounds like the Belt was too loose and was not allowing the Alternater to Charge the Battery. I would Jump the Car off just long enough to get to the Mechanic and have the Belt, Alternator, and Battery Checked out In addition to the Radiator.
