2003 Chevy Impala. Car was unused for about 10 months. During that time it was started and run various times. Eventually the battery died, was jump started, but battery was bad. Since that time the radio seems to work but there is no sound. Have replaced the battery. Car now starts fine but still no sound from radio or cd player.
i have the same problem with my 2004 impala. i have replaced the radio, the booster or amp in the trunk, the fuses are good and the speakers have been tone tested and the dealer has reprogrammed the replacement radio, still looks like it works, but no sound. Any other ideas anyone?
I have this same issue on my 2003 Impala currently. I have replaced the amplifier in the trunk which was easy to do but still no sound however all function on the stocked radio work fine but no sound output. Can someone please guide me to what fuses to check or this connection that gets corroded is located or other alternate fixes? Thanks folks!
alot of these cars have a booster amplifier in the trunk. open trunk and look under the rear deck ( between rear speakers. if you see a silver box mounted there then you have this booster. Unfortunately you will need a new booster or bypass it by getting wire harness diagrams and hook speaker input to the outputs. Kind of need to know what you are doing for this.
