I HAVE 2008 BMW 328I SEDAN BEEN SITTING FOR A MONTH WENT TO CRANK IT TURNS OVER STRONG BUT NO CRANK...I WAS TRYING TO LOCATE THE FUEL PUMP RELAY...OR DOES IT HAVE ONE

Hi
if the car has been sitting for a month, then most probably you have flat battery.
What is the battery voltage. you can check it with a multi meter.

My son has a 2000 Hyundai

Make sure you have a ground wire going from the battery to the body. Also if the voltage regulator is bad on the alternator it can put out 14+ volts when running but when you shut the car off it can pull the juice back out of the battery.

Cranks strongly, but won't turn over / start.

it might be the fuel pump take the output hose off of it and crank the engine and see if fuel comes out of the pump if it does the fuel pump is not the probelem. if it doesnt come out or if it slowly comes out than you need a new fuel pump

2000 Ford explorer has been sitting for 6 months. Nothing wrong with it. Replaced batter today, and it turns over just fine, but won't start. Has gas. Was running just fine until it got parked for...

Have you put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail,
to check for pressure?
Do you hear the fuel pump running, when you
cycle the key?
Did you check for spark?

I think when you asked the question,
you knew the answer

My 2000 cadillac has been sitting for @ 3 months and when i crank it only makes a ticking sound...what could be the problem....the battery is dead and when hooked up to battery charger does the same thing

OK, if the battery is dead, that may be expected for an older battery that sits for 3 months without charging.

I would try a new battery that has been charged up, and make sure the contacts at the sidemount are clean and shiny, and if not, brush with a wire brush until they appear clean.

On a 2000 Deville, it would not surprise me if the battery was older than 3 years, which is the average life expectency of a battery, based on my experience at Sears Roebuck & Co. as a battery installer.

Good luck on this repair.

2000 Grand Am has been sitting idle for 6 months. Will not start. New battery. Fluids may have settled. Ideas on getting it started?

Try spraying starting fluid into the throttle body, You can also check for fuel at the pressure connector at the fuel rail, looks kinda like a tire valve stem.

1999 blazer wont start??

Your battery is either faulty or ther is a parasitic drain, have it checked out at parts house. With a good battery installed, spray some starter fluid into intake housing. If it starts, then dies, you have fuel pressure/delivery problems. Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the key? Hope this helps.
