Fist you will have to remove the door trim panel. You will see that WINDING mechanism is broke. As a quick fix, disconnect the link on the Window carrier and lift up and chock with a length of timber.
Best of luck in your endevours.

There are two fuses that cover the power windows, but if it is only one window, it is likely to be the switch, the wiring, or the motor on that particular door. An auto-electrician can diagnose. Videos may help.

I have a 2005 hyundai elantra. I just replaced the weather stripping on the driver side window last week, and have had no problems till today. I left the windows down, and when i closed the door the...

Hi,
The window scraper seal has been dislodged from its position, those white pins that you see are the locking pins that holds it down into position. If that is the one you replaced better bring it back to the shop that installed it. Plastic clips/pins might already broken.
Installing it without any experience in opening the inside mechanism of the door/window will vodi the warranty of the works that have done to it.
Placing it back, you have to remove the door cover, window regulator, wiring harness, and window glass. Just to get that small thing back into position.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks fro asking FixYa!

Same thing happened with mine. It turned out that the power door lock motor went out. Since the handle or the switch can unlock the driver's door, both of these mechanisms are connected. When the door lock motor goes out it freezes in whatever position, it was last engaged.

Drivers side power window is stuck. I here grinding when I try to make it go up or down.

If you remove your door panel, and look at the guts of the window mechanism, you'll find a motor that should move the window up and down. The gear on the motor is probably either stripped, displaced, or the window regulator (the other half of the system)'s gear teeth are similarly damaged/displaced.

Low beam headlights keep burning out, 8 times on

If you visit many forums for Elantras, you will see that frequent headlamp failure is very common. It has been discussed over and over again and it is thought that always turning the lights off and on via the stalk switch is recommended. If you leave the light switch in the on position, when you start your car, the lights briefly flash on then off again as you turn your ignition to the start position and then turn on again as you release the key to return to the "on" position. This may be causing a power surge which creates stress on the bulb filament and can only be avoided by using the light switch instead of the ignition to power up the headlamps.

Passenger Window Stuck all the way Down

Try switching the power window switch from the passenger side to the drivers side. Before you do that try with the switch on the up position, wiggle it from side to side. The contacts may be worn and by wiggling it may make contact. Other then that try to park it in side or garbage bag taped to keep rain out till you get it to the shop.
Hint, take it to a Auto window repair shop to replace the switch if it's bad or if the motor is bad. They have more experience to removing the door panels and removing the power window regulator (motor) if that needs to be replaced.
Good luck and hope this helps.
