2003 Ford Explorer A/C won't blow

Although I can turn the fan up, very little air blows out of the vents. It's like the duct work is not connected. Does anyone know how to check, and/or fix? It's the same think with the heater.

Around this time, Ford started putting what they call cabin air filters in their vehicles. If this filter becomes clogged, your AC will sound like an airplane but have very little air movement. I am not sure of the exact location of this filter on your vehilcle, but it is usually under the cowl panel or on the front of the firewall under a small access panel, Your local ford garage or parts department should be able to give you an idea where to look

2002 ford explorer AC and heat blowing in dash, but very weak from the vents

On the motorcraft parts web site, you can blow up
a picture of the HVAC Blend Door Motors & locations,
as well as part numbers

You can get failed motor from Amazon

With knowing where the motors are located, try switching
the air flow modes manually, to see what positions do not work

Then you know what motors to replace

I also have professional scan tool software & can see the codes
for the motors in enhanced data.

The-- Vent Blend Doors-by name

Defrost-up top
Cabin -the vents as you say in the middle & on the sides
Floor
Recirculate-under the glove box
Blend Door -under the dash on your print

2003 ford expedition i just got it a week ago and the front heat works great but the back vents only blow cold air. How do i fix this?

With the car parked and engine idling, turn the ventilation control between windshield defroster and "open air ducts" to front and rear vents. Listen to pinpoint where the valves are that open and closes the air ducts. It sounds like the air duct to rear vents are blocked, and the cold air in rear air duct is coming from "outside ventilation." The air vent to allow hot air to the rear vent is stuck in "open ventilation" mode, like when you're driving in spring or summer months.

2001 Expedition-- Location of the air duct actuator? A/C blows out front vents at first but then switches to blowing out of the defroster only (by itself :-( ) Sometimes it will correct itself and go back...

the motor that select the air to blow is the mode door actuator, some models are supply by air solenoid valve, if you want to see the location of mtor actuator, this is on the left side of evaporator case, a little bit upper of accelerator pedal

Why is all the air blowing through the defrost vent only

Either the door that controls the flap that either sends the air through the defrost or the regular outlet is stuck or not working. Some of them work off of a cable and others work from vacuum. Not sure which the ford escort uses but usually you are able to hear the flap move when you go from defrost to regular cabin vent. Or possibly the air duct hose has come off that sends the air through the cabin. Good Luck and hope this helped a little.

Not getting cold air out of A/C

Freon is low, go to walmart and buy a R134 kit with guage attached (not very expensive. Connect it to the low pressure side of the A/c system (don't worry the connection won't fit on the high pressure side) Read the guage on the kit and add as neccessary. It truly is that simple.

2006 Envoy SLT air suddenly stopped blowing from vents

the resister block needs changing... oddly enough i'm unsure of what fan you are saying is not working.... if it's the front.. the resister block is located on the duct work under the dash for the air... near the fan... you will see a connector going into the side of the duct work. two screws and the block comes out... should be fairly obvious for the rear one but it will be near the fan.
