Most likely faulty 02 sensors. They tell the computer how much gas to give the car. A faulty camshaft position sensor may also act this way to. You can check sensor with an ohmmeter and check that there is an electrical flow through the sensor.

96 4x4 Blazer runs rough when you first start going ,when you give it the gas it's having a hard time ,but smooths out ?only low RPM

Very common problem the fuel pressure regulator under the plenum is leaking and causes a rich running condition on start ups and if bad enough can cause it at idle all the time

When I start my 1990 Talon TSI runs fine as it warms up runs real rich has no power and boost is very high. At low RPM around 2500 its fine after that all hell brakes lose bogs down and wont go ?

check the air cleaner and replace if necessary. ( low air volume = rich mixture ). Check/clean exhaust system as back pressure may be too high at high rpm's. Check fuel quality and do not use e-mix fuels.

1993 gmc suburban rough idle, stall in reverse

Idle air control (IAC) control rpm idle during idle.

Test it on idle with ALL electrical on full force.
RPM should increase.
If RPM remain the same then IAC is question.

Car wont stay running and run rough and exhaust smells. When i go fast it runs good but when i run it slow or stop for the light it runs ruff and then stalls...

There are many things that can cause this. The MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor may be dirty. A slight vacuum leak can cause low RPM stumble (check with a vacuum gauge). There are other possibilities such as weak ignition coils or a low voltage condition in the ignition system.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

1997 Volvo 960 6 cyl - Started running rough when I got on the freeway. Up until then it had been great. Very Smooth. I have a check engine light that is flashing. The car idles rough up to about 1900...

Check wiring harness to fuel injectors where it runs through intake manifold - these chafe through and cause injectors to stay on or off. Also check engine grounds. 2 at back of head near firewall and one at drivers side engine mount (almost impossible to see)

1993 nissian p/u run rich and it running real rough

If it is a carb engine have the air fuel mixture corrected by adjusting the screws on the carb. Try also adjusting the idling.

For EFI engines see if you can check the Idle Control Solenoid Valve, have it cleaned. You can also check the oxygen sensor if it is working or not

Engine wont stay running

you're running rich, the cylinders get flooded with fuel and won't fire. stepping on the gas blows out the excess fuel. take it to the dealer and have the mixture adjusted.

83 toyota p.u. 4x4 running rough.

I think you must have the carburettor plunger not going well as you are getting flat spots under sudden acceleration, I think the best way to go is to get the carburettor overhauled.
