My Lesabre has buttons on the left side of the dash. The one called Gage Info has a number of things like oil pressure check tire pressure heat Battery. Push this button till it says check tire pressure To reset your light push the reset button and hold for fifteen or twenty second and the light on the dash should go out and it will show tire pressure ok on the gage. Before you reset check all four tires for air as one tire could be down 8 or 10 lbs and the light will come back on. they all have to be the same pressure.
When you change your oil you should reset the oil section as well and hold reset the same as above. The oil section tells you how much oil you use over an amount of time.
i bought a 2001 aurora at auction and it ran great but drivers side windows didnt work and had transmission code(i think it was p07410 and had low oil pressure warning when idling and oil low light came on at idle also! junk!!! i had the oil changed and oil sending unit changed and they left the plastic off the broken window and the car wouldnt start and none of the windows worked at this point! i had it towed to electrical shop and i had a short in the harness under the drivers seat(from water corrosion) that caused a transmission code, all windows not to work and car not to start! now i spent $350.00 and car starts again and pass windows work and no more transmission code! i repaced both driver side regulators and motors with new parts(also had to reparair rear track in driver door with pop rivets) now all windows work! now i'm driving car that runs great but the light for low oil pressure and low oil light are on agin ay idle(very common on these junks!!!)! get rid of the car and be done with it!!! toyota! toyota! toyota!
iI you mean 'how to turn change oil light off" go to fuse panel. Open drivers door there is a panel cover on the side of dash board, remove cover there is a red RESET button that resets oil pressure and tire pressure. Turn the ignition key to the on position but don't start the car. Now press and release the reset button the change oil light should start to flash, now press and hold the reset button until you hear chimming hold until chimming stops then release, the change oil light should go off. If you need to reset tire pressure press reset button twice, the first push will make the change oil light flash the second press will make the tire pressure light flash then hold untill chimming stops, light should go out . Hope this helps.
There are 4 key ignition settings: Off, Acc, On, Start Turn key to the On position, quickly press the gas pedal 3 times, then turn key clockwise to Start position and actually start the car. You'll hear it chime at you and the change oil indicator light will flash and disappear.
The tire light....Have you checked all your tires for prper air pressure? including the spare? If they all have the maunfactures recomended PSI. Remove the negitive post from the battery for 20 min. to rest puter. If that dont work you have a faulty TPMS on a tire need a new one. Hope this helps
1. turn the ifnition to ACC or ON and turn the radio off 2. press and hold the DISP button on the radio for at least five seconds until SETTINGS is displayed 3. press the SEEK up or down arrow to scroll through the main menu 4. Scroll until TIRE MON appears on the display 5.press the PREV or NEXT button to enter the submenu. RESET will be displayed. 6. press the DISP button to reset. A chime will be heard to verify the new setting and DONE will be displayed for one second. 7.Once the monitor has been reset, scroll until EXIT appears on the display 8.Press the DISP button to exit programming. A chime will be heard to verify exit. The system completes the calibration process during driving This only works if you have a RDS system on the radio.
Because of changing outside temps this happens, just hold reset button on left side of dash until it reads tire pressure 100% again, just make sure your pressure is right before you do it. this is the same for oil changes and the like.
Hi there You should check the oil pressure sensor/wiring should be located around the oil filter area usually. If you can't see any obvious issues than post another question with you progress and ill help you work through it...
If you have the silver-metal valve cores, on the rims, there is NO reset proceedure. Under the valve cores is a transmitter, which is battery powered. It sends a "yes/no" signal to the tire pressure ECM. Note that ALL 5 tires transmit to the ECM. The signal is "at or above" the specific target pressure needed, or is is below the target pressure. What to do: get a GOOD tire pressure gauge, not those cheap ones that look like pencils. Set the tire pressures to the specification, INCLUDING the spare. Your light should go out. If not, there is the possibility that one of the sensors is innoperative, and that will involve a trip to the dealership, to get it replaced under warranty. Try the tire pressure resetting, adn don't forget the spare. Get back to me if this works. Glad to help, and thanks for choosing FixYA.
