You have to remove trans side cover on the left side the pressure control solenoid and torque converter clutch solenoid are both attached to the valve body assembly.

Where is TCC Solenoid on M5 Transmission on 03 Buick Rendezvous

Behind the side cover. You don't have to remove the transmission to get it, but it does have to be lowered enough the get the cover off. It does require removing the valve body. There are check balls in it that will fall out.

I need to change the transmission modulator valve on a 2003 Chevy Impala. I need help with the location of the valve and even steps on how to change it. Thanks

Hello, the 2003 impala's dont have a transmission modulator valve. this transmission is electronic controlled by the power train control module. the transmission uses a pressure control sol. inside the transmission instead of a vac. operated modulator valve. if you are having a late harsh shifting problem, this would be more in the area of a pressure control sol. at fault

Po742

Trouble Code: P0742 This should be looked at by a trusted transmission shop in your area to address this problem. This sometimes does require the replacement of the torque converter itself.

Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Stuck On (4T65-E)
Possible Causes:

TCC PWM solenoid valve for the fluid exhaust is restricted TCC regulated apply valve is stuck in the TCC apply position TCC control valve is stuck in the TCC apply position TCC feed limit valve is stuck (i.e., the TCC feed limit pressure, and the TCC release pressure to be low or nonexistent) Pressure regulator valve is stuck TCC fluid circuits leaking or abnormally low/high line pressure TCC release switch circuit is shorted to ground TSB 00-07-30-007A contains a repair procedure for this code

2003 Chevrolet Impala While the vehicle is moving, at the feel for the change of gear there is feel on the gas pedal as a vibrating pull sensation. Would that be a transmission problem or what else...

It could be your Torque Converter slipping, have the car brought in to a transmission shop and have them do a transmission line pressure test. It could be a simple transmission boost valve that needs to be replaced to bring the transmission line pressure up to keep it from slipping.

See if the problem goes away when the brake pedal is pressed slightly to unlock converter. Have a shop verify line pressure, and provided no valves in the TCC hydraulic circuit are worn, replace the torque converter. Also, Lubegard Shudder Fix will at least fix this for awhile. Or try a transmission flush by a shop that a dirty EPC valve screen could be causing a low transmission pressure.

Good luck and thank you for suing Fixya. .

What code is? p0741

CODE PO741 - TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SYSTEM STUCK OFF WHEN THIS CODE COMES UP YOUR TRANSMISION FLUID TOO LOW OR FLUID + FILTER NEED CHANGING YOU HAVE A RESTRICTION IN TRANSMISSION LINES TO RADIATOR CHECK TO MAKE SURE LINES NOT BENT IN ANY WAY.TCC FEED VALVE OR TCC REGULATOR VALVE IS STUCK OFF DUE TO SEDIMENT OR BINDING.THE OIL PRESSURE SCREEN IS CLOGGED OR DEBRIS IN THE OIL PAN.TAKE CAR TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP GOING TO COST YOU.YOU NEED TRANSMISSION FLUSH AND YOU NEED A FILTER AND FLUID CHANGE.ITS NOT CHEAP FIX BUT YOU CAN CHANGE FLUID + FILTER YOUR SELF TO SEE IF IT HELPS BUT BEST TO HAVE SHOP TO FLUSH OUT TORQUE CONVERTER. PUT NEW TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM SOUND LIKE OLD FLUID CONTAMINATED WITH SEDIMENT NEED TO GET IT ALL OUT TRANSMISSION.

I have a 2001 Saturn SL2 and need to know thelocation of the tcc solenoid. Can U help?

TCC solenoid is located in the valve body on top of the transmission. Once you have the valve body top removed, the TCC solenoid is the third one from the left.

Hope this helps.

1996 Cadillac Deville not shifting into drive or top gear. Also starts in second. Traction control button doesn't change anything. Flushed fluid but no change.

change shift solinoids. located in transmission pan. 4.6l north star has a 4t80e tranny. remove bolts holding pan drop pan . now disconnect the shift solinoids thair are 2 u should see several bolts around 20 bolts holdong the valve body to the transmission unscrew thees bolts . ( 10MM) before removing all bolts disconnect the hook with a clip going to the valve body.its located to a spring and lever. now remove rest of bolts. DO NOT LET IT FALL DOWN. remove the connector going to manifold pressure sensor. use a flat head screw driver to pull clips holding the solinoids in place. thair should be a small **** located on the other side of throdle body. DO NOT REMOVE ALL THE BOLTS OUT OF THE BODY. THAIR ARE BALL BERINGS INSIDE THAT WILL FALL OUT OF PLACE. the screen is located in between the shift solinoids. DO NOT DO THIS JOB WITHOUT ALREADY HAVING THE REPLACMENT PARTS ON HAND. when putting every thang back together i would check the wiring harness for anny shorts . 2002 Sunfire TCC Solenoid replacement

hi..the transaxle converter clutch . tcc. uses a solenoid -operated valve located in the automatic transaxle to mechanically couple the engine flywheel to the output shaft of the transmission through the torque converter.that reduces the slippage loss in the converter.reducing emissions.but check the vss first.which is called the vehicle speed sensor.they both work together .if the vss is not working right it wont call on the tcc.
check this out..
thank u..
