- the haynes repair manual on shows that one temp sesor i don't know what elase could be causeing this over heating it just started out of the blue also i just replace the mass air snsor could this have any thing to do with this
The fans must come on before everything starts boiling. Is there another temp sensor besides the one you replaced? Did you replace it with a switch type rather than a thermal resistor type. The temp sensor should tell the computer to turn on the fans and the computer is supposed to turn on the fan relay and it turns on the fans. If they work with the A/C, that eliminates the computer output, the relay and the fans, and gets back to the temperature sensor.

- The mass air sensor has to do with fuel mixture adjustment for altitude changes. Does the Haynes manual have troubleshooting routines for the cooling system. Turn on the A/C system to get the fans running and see if the engine now runs cooler. If it does, make sure that you bought the right thermal sensor. Try one from a VW dealer. There is a remote possibility that the thermal sensor input circuit in the computer is faulty, but I would expect that the check engine light would be on to say so in a specific code. I have a 95 Pontiac Sunfire. Occasionally (maybe once or twice a year, not seasonal) when I turn the car on the steering wheel is stiff and won't move more than an inch to the left or right. However, it seems once the car warms up (about 10 minutes later), the steering wheel is loose and I am able to steer. What is the origin of this problem?

1993 accura integra, you can drive it all as long as you keep it running, shut it off and it will not start until something cools down. Will occassionally shut off while driving but not very often.
