Truck starts low idle about 500rpm, sputters then

Car starts sputters at 500 rpm then dies. You try to start immediatly after won't even start, give it a few minutes starts then dies. I think it's te fuel filter.

Not to mention the condition of the fuel pump which is a weaker link in this vehicle.Key on/eng off cycles this pump for 3 seconds and that gives you some opportunity to listen for this pump in the fuel tank. New units sound smooth and quiet...a failing pump sounds louder and squeelish. After replaceing that suspect filter (located along the driver side frame rail under seat) have a listen to the
pump and they work about like they sound it seems.Verify fuel pressure if possible.

Does it do this on warm restarts or on cold starts? Have you checked fuel pressure? It sounds like a bad pump, but I would try the filter first.

IF you have changed the air intake system then you interfere with the air velocity that the sensor reads to judge how much air is required by the engine You will probably experiencing other problems as well such as poor fuel economy and lack of power at certain revs.. If you want to use the mods you have made you may have to have the chip reprogrammed

CAR RUNS GREAT, STARTED DIEING WHEN A/C WAS TURNED ON, NOW A FEW DAYS LATER IT DIES EVEN WITHOUT A/C ON, RUNS BUT WILL NOT IDLE

CHECK IDLE SPEED SHOULD BE 650 - 850 RPM. IF IDLE TOO LOW AC WILL PUT DRAG SLOW DOWN ENGINE CAUSING ENGINE TO STALL IF IDLE SPEED IS TOO LOW.

Starts then dies immediatly

try giving a little gas when starting. If you get it to rev up and the only problem it dies with your foot off the gas then clean the throttle body. It may or may not help. Then replace the idle air control valve.

Bouncing RPMs

My car would do the same thing turned ot to be a loose wire at the coil/distributor. there is a plug connector with tow wires one wass loose I crimped the wire no works great

Rough idle stalls at low rpm's

hello first check your idle with the car running foot on brake see were your rpm reading is if your below 500rpm check your label underhood for your curb idle setting second see if theres a adjustment screw you can increase were your gas cable lever rest against your set screw underhood if you feel confident enough remove your iac motor idle air control valve if the bore were the end of the pintle extracts out to close has varnish builup our carbon it will stick creating vacuum leak type senario causing stalling rough idle sometimes even no start conditions good luck
