I have a 2000 olds intrigue. It stahls out while driving or sitting at a stoplight. sometimes it starts right up other times it cranks but doesn't turn over and I end up killing the battery. I'll get a jump and the car runs fine for a little bit and then back to the top.

- Maybe this can help determine, I left the oil cap off and didn't know it so oil was spilling out and I detected this by the alternator going out. Could my spark plugs just be dirty and need replaced?

unplug the torque converter clutch it will run fine without it and should cure your concerns

- it is on the fron of trans usually a square plug the oil cap would have nothing to do with it

This could be several problems. Distributors, plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel injedtors. Timing depending on milage or idle air control valve. Suggest you invest in a repair manual cost about $20-25. A goo investment if you intent to keep the car.
