Are you sure you didn't put the clutch in backwards? If you put it in correctly you may just need to adjust the clutch free play. This is done by lengthening or shortening the rod that disengages the clutch when you depress the clutch pedal

We have replaced 5 speed transmission everything is new clutch pressure plate a truck will shift while turned off and will not shift in gear while running whats wrong

Is clutch release linkage working? Installing clutch disc backwards will do this too. With engine off, put in gear, depress clutch pedal and turn engine by hand to see if clutch is still dragging.

93 ford ranger with everything to do with clutch changed but no neutral need a view of shifter gears

Throw out bearing replaced? May be improperly installed. Does it come out of gear when you depress the clutch? Check the linkage at the ******, but be careful under the vehicle, chock wheels! Did you use an alignment tool when you installed all you new parts? Unless you opened the ******, the shift gears should not be affected by a clutch change.

My 87 Mazda B2000 has been parked down hill for 3 months. Now the motor starts but I cannot put it in any gear with the motor on. The stick shift will move into gears with the engine off.

sounds like the clutch has corroded somewhat.
does it feel like the clutch has some pressure?
try putting it in gear, depress the clutch, and then see if it will start in gear( be carefull it may jump forward)
this might free the clutch.
also the clutch fluid may have drained or have an air bubble, depressing the clutch many times quickly may self bleed the air out, or bleed some new fluid through it. make sure to top up the fluid.

1994 Ford Ranger, turned into parking lot and downshifted to neutral. Felt like my clutch pedal softened and then could't shift into any gear without gears clashing. When I turn off engine I can shift...

look under your dash driverside at your clutch pedal and there should be an arm that goes through the firewall and to your pedal if it is disconected reconect it if not then check your clutch fluid

2000 F-150 with clutch problem. sounds like an exhaust leak when clutch pedal is depressed. doesn't seem to slip and shift ok any help would be appreciated

I would check your cross-over exhaust pipe. It sounds like the clutch linkage may be pushing on the exhaust pipe (the ones that crosses from the left side to the right side of the motor.
Have someone depress the clutch while you look under the hood (be careful not to have the truck in gear). It could that the pressure from the clutch is just enough to push the exhaust pipe far enough to cause a leak.
let me know what you find out!

Hard to shift into first gear

Tighten clutch cable until the car would start to move when the clutch peddle is 50% depressed, Before you do that, with the clutch fully depressed and in 2nd gear, start the car and slowly let off the clutch. You may find that the clutch has to be released virtually all the way before the car moves. It should be at about that 50% I spoke about

Gear shifting

Adust clutch cable.Test...start the car in first gear with clutch fully depressed, parking break off. Slowly release the clutch. determine when the vehicle starts to move. If clutch is fully depressed call that 100%, fully released is 0%. The vehicle should be moving at around the 55-45% range.
