I had this problem after I washed the engine off. I got water in the cylinders and the plugs were shorting out. I got the engine hot on a hot day over 100 outside. I put the hood up facing into the sun and pulled the coils off the plugs. I had to do this a couple times and the car is good as new.I had this problem after I washed the engine off. Its a hybrid!! Thats whats wrong with it! Haha No but really anything electronically wrong with one of those u are going to be paying out the rear to get fixed! Need to take it to dealership where u bought it. Maybe they can fix it for u! Sorry I only work on real cars!
Has the transmission control module been scanned for fault codes? This is an electronically controlled transmission. Do you have any flashing lights or a check engine light on by chance?
The exact same thing just happened to me yesterday on a seven hour road trip from Atlanta. I have a manual V6 Ex four door, and I had to turn the car off and back on and allow the car to start with momentum while still driving for over three hours just to keep from have to rent a car and avoid a tow.
I have 58,000 miles on my 2006 accord, and I feel that I really got bit with purchasing this car. I almost got screwed with the third gear blow-out situation that Honda hid from buyers, but I caught mines while under warranty; still, I'm holding it against them with the next car purchase.
This was suppose to be my traveling car when I retired, and I keep a second car to "save" this car from city driving, and it is primarily used for these kinds of road trips of night driving through the mountains in the middle of the night.
I've had three Honda in a row with no issues at all, but luckily, I'm a fair weather fan, and I'll stick with a brand whether they "win or win"... and Honda isn't winning in my book, so I'm abandoning them whether it is covered under warranty or not.
Have a air compressor? blow all electrical areas out real good. fuse box, spark plug area (with the spark plug in just pull one spark plug cable off at a time) and next time you wash your engine bay don't do it with the high pressure thingy lol. any water left in areas you missed to get dry or could not get dry should dry up in the next couple of days with the ENGINE HEAT, so drive it!!! just dont drive like a mad men no, V tech for you lol if the engine light stays on after "jerking" goes away. go to auto zone and have them erase the code...GOOD TO GO
The fluid in the transmission has to be changed along with the filter just like youe engine oil, only not as frequently. Have your transmission fluid and filter serviced and see if this helps. A qualified technician can tell from the old fluid if there is internal transmission damage.
It sounds like something is loose...That may be causing your vibrating problems with the engine. You need to life the hood and grab anything that should be bolted down grab it and gently but firmly pull on it. If it moves then you will see it right then and there. Or it can be on the inside of the motor also. The jerking can be from bad fuel....
