Yes, it uses R134-A. You can buy a recharge kit from most auto parts stores. you can also buy a dye kit to check for leaks. some R-134a have a leak sealer in the refrigerant. Make sure to get one that has a pressure guage on it or buy one sepperate, remember to have the engine running with the a/c on max cold.

Check the labels, but usually it's R134-a refrigerant. I suggest you might as well check for leaks. One common problem of ageing compressors is that the shaft seal leaks in due time and might need to be replaced. Check with your reliable aircon tech guy. goodluck!

I need help with my 2009 Acura MDX! The Air conditioner recharges every 3 to 4 seconds, but the air conditioner delivers constant cold air at 76 and below. Whats wrong?

The A/C compressor is cycling probably because the system is low on refrigerant, have it recharged and leak checked or just pick up a recharge kit and do it yourself. I hope this helps. Take Care.

A/c gets warm when idleing or a red light

it sounds like the the refrigerant in your car is running out. you may need to Recharge the Air Conditioner at a dealership or repair shop, it cost anywhere for 75$ to 125$ but if your the d.i.y. type its fairly easy to accomplish. I'll leave a like to an article on make if you'd like to attempt it.

Low side port for air conditioner

If you are recharging the air conditioner - start at the A/C pump, and follow the lines up until you find a black round stub (this unscrews) and this is where you will re-fill (recharge) the A/C.

NOTE: It is recommended to have a professional (certified) mechanic recharge A/C systems, but is not necessary. (laws and regulations vary per state, city, county).

Air conditioner not blowing cold air

go to a parts store such as Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone and buy the A/C recharging kit they have with the rubber line and connector that connects only on the side that you need to recharge your system. If you can put air in your tires you can out freon in your a/c system.

The air conditioner blows hot air. Can I buy a kit to recharge it? If so, where and how much are they? Thank you.

It depends on the type of freonyou use. If it is R134a then yes you can buy a kit and recharge it. ost recent cars use this type o freon. check your manual. Or, when you go to any parts store jsut ask them to look it up and they can tell you what it takes.
