My car is always maintained by Honda dealer according to maintenance reminders. ( usually at 30%)
I started the car this morning and the engine light came on. Check following fluids, (engine oil, coolant, brake fluid.) all were OK. Air filter was cleaned (blown with air compressor) a week ago.
The car is used commuting (500 miles per week) on California highways usually running at highway speeds.
60% remaining before next scheduled service, so it should not be a "service due" issue
Any ideas? Fuel sensor, Oxygen sensor?
Do I need to have it looked at immediately or can it wait until the weekend?
Take it to a autozone and have them pull the codes and tell you what is happening, it is most likely a 02 sensor not functioning properly. But have the codes pulled right away, andthey can tell you what it might be then post the codes here then we can tell you if you should wait or not. better safe than sorry. If you drive it and it brakes and you knew the light was on and di not get it checked right away you could void the warrenty.

My toyota corolla is a 2010, and only 40.000 miles. I change the oil every 5,000 miles I installed new air filter, new ceramic brakes. I bleed the brakes with new brake fluid. I always check all fluids. The car is 3.75 years old 40,000 miles. I take pride in installing the highest quality maintenance service components. This car has never ever had a warning light come on ever, except for the oil change light in which I change then reset every 5,000 miles. 3 month ago My battery seemed to be not holding proper voltage so I installed a new high quality battery. The car then ran fine. The car has never made any weird noises, smells, or has operated in a negative way ever. yesturday I went to start the car, and it had no power at all. It would not start,no power to cluster panel guages. No power to inside lights, or outside lights. No horn, no door locks. Electronic key would not work. I opened the hood, and tested the battery. It read 12.58 volts. I did not test any further cause I have extended warenty, so I then called the dealer, and set up opointment. I am perplexed about this malfuntion because I have never experienced this senario malfuntion ever before on any off my past vehiches. The car just went totally dead with no warning lights, or noises, odd smells ext? What could this be. Could the ignition just go bad? Could the master fuse go bad? Has this lose of total power malfuntion with battery reding full voltage ever happened to anyone with a toyota corolla almost 4 years old, only 40,000 miles?
