It's actually on the Driver side towards the firewall/windshield. The reservoir looks like a globe. Make sure your engine is cool and remove cap, fill to recommended level (see the lines on the outside of the sphere, should be about half-way).

The cap should say, they are usually on the left side (pass side) of the engine on the fender.

Where can you find the radiator cap in a volkswagon bora v5

Janet, top up your coolant in the coolant reservoir/expansion tank it is the rounded bottle closer to the shock tower.. Remove Blue or Black cap when engine cold and top up, run engine till warm and recheck after cool and top up again if necessary. Make sure to have leak repaired sooner then later to prevent future costly repair.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

VW golf 1.8 engine, spitting coolant by the engine coolant temp. gauge area

Could be a small hole or a crack in the housing that the sensor goes in. Also check the housing gasket.

I need to drain the water out of a 1996 vw golf and need to know where the drain plug is or if i just have to take the hose off.

Most radiator drains today are made of plastic and when you try to open them they either break or leak when you close it. I'd take the bottom hose off. Make sure the coolant isn't hot.
