I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ, Might be a trans problem....

I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ, Just hit 80,000 never had a problem yet. Recently service engine light came on and now when i go to accelerate, their is almost like an idling sound before changes gears. Any comments?

Have it scanned and see if there isn't a trans code. If it is spinning out between gears that is called slippage. There is not much you can do since there are no adjustments. The only thing that it could be other than the trans itself is a problem with the TPS, Throttle Position Sensor, and if that is defective and you don't repair it right away you can do serious damage to the trans. (almost 30 years rebuilding trans and 4 of them directly for GM. I know the 4l60e extremely well) Do not drive this if it is slipping. Hope this helps.

/the back hatch wont open without the remote. Is there another way to get it open? Most trucks have a handle or putton or something. Does this truck?

2002 Chevrolet trailblazer LTZ won't crank, indicates it is in reverse but it is in park

shift linkage is loose or interlock/trans range switch needs adjusting. The interlock is probably integrated at the shifter cable attach point on the side of the transmission. Sorry, but I don't have info to adjust the switch. Hopefully is only goes in one way and has just come loose.

Spark plug replacement directions for 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ

Remove the top cover. Remove the coils. Replace the plugs. Simple. You will need 10mm tools and a spark plug socket
