It could also be the VATS system faulty. The Theft Deterrent Module (TDM) also controls the starter relay, so if the TDM is faulty it could definitely be that your car is not cranking.

Check your ignition switch contacts...might also be an electrical bad connection somewhere. Also check the fuses. Check also the voltage going the solenoid or test the solenoid too.

Car sat for 3 weeks. Started right up and moved out of the driveway. 2 hours later, won't crank. It's the starting and dieing that is getting me. Acts like the VATS chip is wrong (tried 2 sets of keys) but that doesn't make them not crank. Just crank and not start. Thought it might be a nuetral safety switch but can't find it, but that shouldn't make it die.
