Per you tube someone suggested to fix a wire at the ignition. Took the transceiver out and did not see any wires. Now the car won't start. The Anti Theft light in the dash is flashing rapidly. Any help?
Ok I'll try my best to help you disconnect the battery cables //// take off the bottom plastic shroud on the steering column pull the key cylinder ////first of all the wire is plugged into the ignition key cylinder housing in the column not the transceiver and it's 1 wire with a brass tang that fits into the cylinder housing once it fits snug the chime will stop/// next you must make sure the transceiver is (a) plugged in correctly snug fit (b) that the transceivers pick up ring around the key cylinder is plugged in and mounted properly on the housing (c) that the antenna for the unit is in tight facing the right direction all wires should be checked for continuity and the plugs should be checked for a tight fit after doing so reconnect the battery cables when the alarm sounds if equipped use your key fob remote to take it out of theft mode /// I'm hoping that your key is not a cloned key and that you disconnected the battery cables at the start of this when you first tried to investigate the chime problem if not then you erased the transceiver from the system (maybe) do you have other keys to try that are original ones? The unit works by first the ring on the cylinder see's the key and tells the transceiver that it's there then the antenna is picking up the chip in the key and sending that information to the computer to tell it to start the car and everything in that system must be originally installed and programmed into the system for the pats (secure a lock) start sequence to complete also if the antenna is facing the wrong direction it cannot pick up the chip key it must be as close to the cylinder as possible in direction which if a programmed chip is put behind the gear shift on the column and a regular key is in the cylinder the car will start so the antenna is positioned so when the gear shift is in park it faces the cylinder as close as possible to get the signal completed I'm not there obviously and I don't know exactly what you did but I tried to think of everything I could to help you good luck stephen

Sometimes the ignition key does not "deactivate" when removing the key...try wiggling the washer behind where the key goes...sometimes this sticks...:)
SOURCE: disable anti theft system bypass
why was the door taken off..the system thinks you are stealing the car..
