Problem for Ford 1993 Explorer Limited

Our fuel pump is not coming on

Our fuel pump is not coming on, we just replaced it and it still isn't coming on, we've checked fueses, the reset switch and not really sure what's wrong, can someone please help my husband is getting very aggrivated! :)

- we did put a jumper wire on the relay to kick it on and that seemed to turn it on but it won't shut off, still not starting though even with the wire

i would say take it to a local friend at a shop who will look at it for free or just charge cheap. If he can't find anything check out the fuel pump, see if u have all of the cords connected right, and the hoses. Good Luck!

He needs to check for power at the fuel pump power connector when the key is on. If ok, check the fuel tank itself to see if it is grounded to the body or frame. If no power at the pump, try replacing the fuel pump fuse--sometimes a fuse will crack it's link, but look good.

well somtimes they put it on with other fuses so makesure you check all fuses and relays if everything is good then suspect computer or pcm the pcm has control of the fuel pump circuit

- ok i got something else you might try you saying it still wont start even when the fuel pump is jumped my question is do you have spark and fuel injector pulse if not try the ignition control module if there are any more symptoms please fill me in ill try to do the best i can
