My 1990 v6cheyv lumina will start and idol

but if you try to give it any accelaration it will die and it ran fine till i shut it off i know the fuel pump is working cause i broke the line at the filter and it had great pressure please help if you can

I'm assuming you replaced the filter?? Test fuel pressure at the rail. Could be other issues that need testing, losing spark for some reason, injectors failing? Hopefully someone knows of acommon issue for more help.
