I have a jeep that I converted the 2 bbl carb to a single bbl carb and now can't keep it running. Starts great and quickly, idles very smooth and revs up properly for the first 2-3 minutes of running. Then bogs down and acts like it loads up and quits, spitting raw gas out the top of the carb. What could be the problem?
Sounds like your float height is incorrect in the carb. Hopefully it is a new carb, and not a used one you bought off of someone. Used carbs are not a good idea unless you have the knowledge to rebuild one.

I tried your suggestion to and checked the float level. It was very close to the specifications and readjusting it hasn't solved the problem.
