The dealer says ext'ed warranty doesn't cover repl'g ac condenser

The dealer is saying my extended warranty does not cover the A/C condenser as it was hit by a rock. I don't see how inasmuch as it is under the hood next to the engine. I need a schematic of where it is located and do you think a rock could cause a leak damaging the condenser.

The condenser is located at the front of the car just behind the grill allong with the radiator - and looks like a radiator..

It is very very common for a rock bouncing off the road to damage them.. I would have them show you the damage to satify your warrenty concerns..
It is allso common for people to Installing added protection - like chicken wire or something of that nature and it will prevent this from happening again.. It happens to some people more than once - unfortunately..

PLease dont forget to rate well ;o)

Sure can. Looking though the grill the raditor you see is the AC condenser. Because this item is a crash item. Autobody aftermarket crash parts companies have them for a whole lot less that the auto part stores. If you do a little looking they cost a little over $100 Afermarket copy.. Body shops fix this part of the car so often that their the cheapest place to go to gfet it fixed and if you have collision insurance they'll be glad to file the claim

Will be purchasing a new 2015 Elantra. Should I purchase an extended warranty?

I would ask hard questions on this one I paid almost a thousand dollars for an extended warranty on a used car and six weeks later I had to tow the car in. I showed them the warranty paper work and they answered oops it does not cover the computer and parts. It was running parts only like engine and tranny.

2006 silverado leaks water out of AC sometimes when it runs, also water vapor comes out the vents, this is when AC in on plus recirculate the air in cabin as well is on. doesn't due it all the time...

Your air conditioner condenses alot of moisture while it is cooling. This falls into the box that the blower fan is mounted inside of. There is a small drain hose that allows this moisture to drain outside the vehicle. Have this drain checked to insure that it is open. You can usually blow low pressure air into the hose to verify that it is clear.. Good Luck!

My car started ran and shut off within 5 sec. Could the coil have going bad. The car cranks but does not turn over.

Yes a weak or faulty ignition coil could cause this, but first some troubleshooting is required. The engine needs three things to run, compression, fuel and spark. Take away one of those three things and there is a problem. Check for spark. Check for fuel pressure and a broken t-belt will cause compression loss so that needs checked too. The good news is your vehicle may still be covered by an extended emissions warranty all 96 & 97 honda models except passports are covered for 14 years or up to 150,000 miles which ever comes first. Have your local honda dealer run a VIN Status inquiry to see if your vehicle is covered. if it is you might want to get the vehicle to the dealer for diag because anything emissions related is covered under this warranty ext. Were talkn' coils, ignitors, spark plugs, injectors control units the list goes on, sorry a broken T-belt is not covered. Also in this extended warranty is one complementry Tune-up which includes; spark plugs, dist cap, rotor, plug wire replacement and an oil change between 75-150k miles. -good luck, I hope this helps.

Horsecrap...go to an independent transmission dealer after you call the extended warranty folks and complain!
I can count the number of Honda transmissions that go bad before 300,000 miles on one hand.
